Certificates and controlled documents
Availability, currency and internal consistency of the selected certificates, endorsements, manuals, plans and SMS-controlled documents.
A focused, paid review for operators who need a clearer view of vessel and shore-side readiness before Port State Control or other external scrutiny.
Fee, timetable and exact review boundary are confirmed in writing after an initial scope discussion.
A vessel may have procedures, records and corrective actions in place while the shore team still lacks a reliable view of what can be produced, explained and demonstrated when asked.
It brings the agreed evidence into one structured review, tests where the record is incomplete or unclear, and turns the result into owned next actions.
What should this operator confirm, correct or escalate before the expected scrutiny? The engagement is scoped around that question—not a generic “AI compliance” exercise.
The final scope depends on vessel type, operating context, inspection horizon and the evidence you choose to provide. A typical review can cover:
Availability, currency and internal consistency of the selected certificates, endorsements, manuals, plans and SMS-controlled documents.
Selected records supporting drills, maintenance, life-saving and fire-safety arrangements, pollution prevention, navigation and crew welfare.
How the selected procedures are reflected in records, responsibilities, familiarisation, reporting and practical onboard use.
Recent PSC, class, flag, internal-audit or inspection items supplied by the client, including the evidence supporting closure.
Whether the reviewed information presents a consistent position between onboard personnel and the shore-side team.
A defined concern such as recurring deficiencies, document control, emergency preparedness or readiness for a known inspection window.
The review concludes with a bounded management position, not an unsupported compliance score or a promise about inspection outcomes.
A clear record of the vessel, topics and documents reviewed, along with material requested but not made available.
Observed gaps, inconsistencies and points requiring confirmation, each linked to the evidence reviewed rather than assumption.
Recommended actions ordered by readiness importance, with proposed ownership and the evidence needed to demonstrate completion.
A concise view of the main readiness themes, immediate decisions and issues that need escalation or competent specialist input.
A working session with the nominated client team to explain the findings, challenge ambiguity and agree practical next steps.
Visible boundaries around the materials used, items not assessed and conclusions that depend on further verification.
The service is intended for vessel operators and managers, DPAs, QHSE and marine assurance teams, superintendents, masters and officers who need a structured independent readiness view.
This is an independent advisory readiness and compliance review. It is not a statutory survey, flag-state inspection, class audit, certification service or legal opinion. Meriden does not issue or renew certificates, determine regulatory compliance on behalf of an authority, or guarantee a PSC outcome. The operator, master and relevant competent authorities retain their own responsibilities and decisions.
Tell us the vessel context, likely inspection horizon and the concern driving the review.
We agree the review boundary, inputs, fee, timetable, contacts and information-handling expectations.
We assess only the agreed material, record missing or unclear evidence and raise focused questions.
You receive the findings register, action plan and management summary, followed by a review session.
Share enough context for us to determine whether the review fits your need. Do not send confidential vessel records through this form.
